The Signal Iduna Park, also known as Westfalenstadion, is a German football stadium in Dortmund. It is one of the most famous stadiums in Europe, known for the great atmosphere in and around the stadium, and of course for the famous Yellow Wall (die Gelbe Wand). The Yellow Wall is the largest free-standing grandstand in Europe, with a capacity of 25,000. Signal Iduna Park's total capacity is 81,365. The stadium was openend in 1974 and has been Borussia Dortmund's home base ever since. Signal Iduna Park is the largest stadium in Germany and the seventh-largest in Europe.
